My friend Jackie who works at Open University offices in Boars Hill, took these pics on her lunchtime walk on a damp autumnal lunch break this week. Lovely eh?

What an amazing variety! Last autumn we went for walks above our house and found quite a wide selection but not quite of this magnitude - lots of 'slippery jack' which are quite large, also some similar to puff balls, but mostly smaller toadstool types - these pics are super. Our weather is still just too hot and dry (30 degrees today) for much to be sprouting yet, but I expect in a few weeks it could all change ... Jan
