Hello from sunny but soon to be blown away Edinburgh. It's warm at the moment but I checked the news this morning and there are no plans to cancel the fireworks despite forecasts of 80mph gusts.
They're tough up here.
I was checking my phone to post a picture for you but have managed to delete the ones I wanted of the fair and the Big Wheel.. (something to do with having a fortifying drink before we went out to Princes Street last night to check on the festive arrangements).
Anyway it all looks fab here in Edinburgh. We're booked in at Vittoria's in Leith Walk tonight so we'll be fed before the festivities begin. We passed through a little Scottish village yesterday about the size of Yarm or Princes Risborough and stacked up about 100 feet from the town hall was the biggest pile of timber and pallets and old furniture I ever saw.
