Home again, home again, jigerty jog...
Flight was pretty smooth though the undercarriage must have been pretty strained on landing. Cor, what a debacle in Luton with EasyJet. Never mind, we got off the ground by the skin of our teeth and arrived on time. Jan was there - what an angel - and I got hugs from the naughty late night stayer-uppers when I got in. Lovely. I'll post again in the morning.

Peter.. re your old powerbook harddrive, try popping it into that firewire enclosure, and then run DiskWarrior on that drive from your PB.
There is a disk image copy of Diskwarrior on the drive already in the enclosure, so install that onto your machine first. Use the serial number you have on your cd, it will be fine.
I've managed all this for a friend of mine whose hard drive failed on a 17"pb.
We got all the data off it and although it could not be repaired or used, the drive could be read and photos and even itunes were salvaged.
Good luck. Steve
ps you've left us in mystery about your flight.
...which I find difficult to cope with.
