Arrived back in UK last night after a few days driving through Spain and France. Here's a view with the moon over Zaragoza...but we didn't take many photos. We tried the new tunnel through the Pyrenees which is nearly several Km long north of Huesca, and came out near Pau, but the haul up to Bordeaux was heavy going on slow roads and in the end the old way through Pamplona, San Sebastian and Bayonne was probably quicker. Serves me right for avoiding all those French toll roads. Enjoyed mussels at the coast on Wednesday evening in Royan before hotelling in Niort...all these names bring back memories of our trip to Les Sables d'Olonne but we could get there this time as we spent too much time in the mountains. Nice trip back but the weather was clear blue on the continent and stair rods in Newhaven. Great fun changing from day, hot, clear and bright, right hand side of the road, dry, good clearly defined roads back to dear old England with its crummy broken roads, unclear direction markers and signs, lost cats-eyes, raining stair-rods, dark of night, left hand side of the road, all misted up and with the heater on full blast to clear it, then fog over Stokenchurch at midnight. Great! Welcome home...
