This lady was a student with my Department at Oxford Uni and as she was so closely linked with Lord Will's and Aston Rowant, I wondered whether you guys knew her perhaps? Her married name was Janet Undery, and she seemed very involved with music and singing in Thame - sad news.

Janet Surman lived in Crowell and is the only daughter of mr Bob surman, FUNERAL director of Surman. Janet had a lovely singing voice but for some reason or another did not wish to joil Chinnoer Operatics, PETE HAS GOT THE COPY OF TODAY'S `OXFORD `MAIL WHICH COUSIN `JOSIE GAVE HUM TODAY It is very sad/ G&G
Sorry, I said that Janet was the daughter of Bob Surman. This should read Bertram (Bert) Surman. Eldest son is Robert (Bob)
Jan was a good friends of Janet's when they were at school but we hadn't seen much of her in the last twenty years...Funeral is next Friday at St Mary's in Thame.
