Saw him in 1971 at Newcastle Town Hall and there was so much noise that there was dust and debris coming down off the rafters!
That was with John McLaughlin and the Mahavishnu Orchestra!
Never saw so many drums in one place!

Billy Cobham is top. He is frequently 'sampled' by dance dj's so his trademark beats are often heard in current records . Seriously cool & influential.
