Thanks for a lovely day

We went to Brackley clinic for Mum to have a blood test, filled up with petrol at Tesco's then went by motorway down to Aston Rowant and on to Chinnor - 35 miles. As we were in plenty of time we visited one or two of our friends, prior to joining Stan and Judy for lunch. There we met the reason for our trip, our lovely Jan and it was so nice to see her again, looking lovely as usual. We chatted for an hour or so and Judy served up a super lunch, which we all enjoyed. Jan brought us up to date with all the happenings in La Nucia and we read the girls' school reports which (of course) were highly complimentary to all three and made us feel very proud. I say of course as it has become something we have grown to expect from our lovely grandchildren, just as we love to read reports from Wales and Singapore. We are so fortunate to have such beautiful and talented grandchildren. At about 4pm we decided to make a move while it was still light and we set off along the M40 on our return to K/S. We had a lovely day, thanks to all at no.37
