Dad,
The other day Mum and I were taking about her swollen ankles and I suggested that she try rotating them as I remembered that that was the advice given to expectant mums, this set me thinking and I thought that you might find it helpful too, I carried on thinking, (the heavens didn't fall in) as I have been wondering if you could find a friendly yoga class with a teacher who would adjust her program to older people. A bit of gentle exercise would warm Mum up get her circulation going and straighten her leg muscles, this could be very useful as it may make Mum steadier on her feet and eventually give her a bit more much needed confidence. It even occurs to me that perhaps you could have someone(a personal trainer) guide you through a routine remind you to do it and help make sure that no one is overdoing it.
