Brixton Hill, S.W.2

We used to live just off Brixton Hill, from 1933 until 1937 and every November on the first Sunday, we used to go to the end of our road and my Dad used to say, watch these old cars go up Brixton Hill. It was the Annual London to Brighton "Old Crocks Race" as we called it as the vintage cars all struggled up Brixton Hill on their way to Brighton. THAT was 67 years ago and they are still holding this annual rally, with all the old ladies in their fancy hats and the old men in their Norfolk jackets and Sherlock Holmes hats. Dad.
