Happy Birthday Clive

We have the day off work and the sky is blue and the sun is shining here in Wantage though little blustery. Its been quite a week what with having to call the police twice - 1) fire alarm that was going for 2 hours that wouldn't turn off, then wouldn't reset and 2) overnight car break in. Our local PCSO visited last night and said its really rare and she said sorry especially as we have just moved here, which as a victim goes a long way hearing someone say they are sorry this has happened to us. PCSO reckons its amateurs and that would they would step up the patrols and keep an eye on our car. We have had a call from Scenes of Crime team in Abingdon who want to come and see the car in the hope they may get something off it so we feel looked after. Another car got done the same night though suffered more damage we hear. They didn't succeed in breaking our ignition barrel or steering lock and we've got a steering wheel lock now.

So we're up for a bit of relaxation, and we're off to Westfield Mall, Shepherds Bush shortly, lunch at The Cow (Terence Conran's son has his own proper trendy london pub near Notting Hill with bare floorboards, oysters and guinness), followed by shopping (reckon the Apple store will be on the list) and a nice dinner somewhere. Clive says thanks for the texts and cards he has had so far and that he has ready to birthday as there is a parcel waiting at post office for him.
