blue skies

blue skies huh don't talk to me about blue skies. yesterday, mum and i walked - yes, walked to local market in Bedoin, (about 3 kilos) au pied de la Geant Du Provence (our local mountain) and we did what all ex Pats want to do when we are 'foreign', sit out in the sun, under a massive Mediterranean Plane tree, scoffing chicken panini and watching the business of these colourful markets, at the same time nursing a Pastis 51. After the market had closed (about 2.pm) we walked round the little town and then in the heat of the afternoon, we took a leisurely walk back to Les Cougieux, along the route des Desmoiselles Coiffees, stopping every five minutes for a drink of eau gaseuse. We both loved the walk and the day in Bedoin, spoilt only by some energetic aviateur, practising his lupe-da-lupes. The sky was too blue to see him! Julian has gone into town to look for a cat flap, but when he returns we will ask to borrow his car to go to Orange, to see the Arene and the Arc de Triomphe. Only another week to go!! Be seeing you all. Love Mum and Dad.
