Benidorm old town
Had a lovely day strolling through the old town of Benidorm today. An English cliché it may be, but before the tourists it was a sleepy little fishing village and the old town stands testament to that. Okay, so all the fisherman's cottages are now English pubs selling John Smiths and Tetley bitter or PG tips tea with steak and kidney pie, but if you know what you like and you can live with what you don't like it's a great place. Cheap too. I could shop for Britain with a hundred quid here! Trouble is you don't get paid in pounds, but it's still very reasonable. More so for the tourists who come back in their droves for the summer...but now, at Easter, it's heavenly.
