Memorable post..

Great post, Gem. Glad you had such a great time. It brings back memories of six weeks I spent in the Netherlands back in the eighties with a friend from college. In Amsterdam for the day with some language students from all over Europe, we also enjoyed pils in the sunshine while people watching before going to the Rijksmuseum to see the Nightwatch... but my memories are a bit hazy as there had been a strange 'smokey' atmosphere during lunch that seemed to affect everyone's vision!
