A message from a cold Spain

Today has been the warmest day since we arrived and the mountains around Alphas and neighbouring Altea are in a heat haze for the first time. Previously their peaks have been covered in clouds and it has been quite cool. On Sunday we went to watch Pete play cricket and while warmish with a weak sunshine, by 5.30pm it was decidedly cool. However Pete warmed things up by scoring a very useful 43 not out, wearing his new batting pads which I bought for him from a sports shop in RYDE. However it was not enough as 'our side' ran out of overs, chasing 283.
