A fab evening

Well, in the end, Mum decided to accompany me to the Ladies Night dinner at the Royal. She was having her hair done in Wootton when she met my friend Adrien's wife Heather, who persuaded her to go so we all went in a mini-bus to the Royal. It is a lovely hotel, reminiscent of the 30's and reminded us of some of the old colonial hotels one sees in places like Sri Lanka and Malaysia. Palm trees and pot plants, Munnings-type pictures on the wall. Certainly one of the nicest hotels on the Island. We had good food and good company and got home about midnight. mum enjoyed herself and was glad she came with me. We toasted William on his birthday. Cheers Will!!
