Loved your trip to Rochefort, Ruth. Ten hours on a train I can do without! 1981 and we were dying for some good old fish and chips, having spent a couple of weeks in Les Sables d'Olonne without any. Heard that La Rochelle was a super pla(i)ce for fruits de mer, only to find that fdm did not include haddock or cod. Sadly no fish so we enjoyed a plateful of fdm. Nic even tried l'escargeot. Great fun. We loved the old town of La Rochelle avec les arcades. Love to you and we hope you both enjoy Julian's birthday. Love from H&M
