Only a midi skip this time but it's gone and we're on number 2!
Mum has had a big clothes chuck out as she is unlikely to be a size 14 again and Dad is making agreeable noises about having the second bedroom for a den with office and computer station plus some more storage for household essentials. We have the futon now in the lounge for anyone who needs to stay over plus seating, together with a sofa and Dad's lazee-boy chair. The other sofa is in the conservatory with Mum's upright armchair, and we fitted in some drawer units to put lamps on.
We've installed a new classy fireplace and hearth and downsized the dressing table in Mum's bedroom so there is room to get around the bed in safety.
Dad is so desperate to get back on-line that we've gone with BT option 3 which comes with an extra telephone line for internet calls, plus a voip telephone handset and a free wireless router which will be delivered next Wednesday so keep the encouraging phonecalls coming for another week!
