Stuffed Chilli Peppers

Who needs Chilli Peppers when the football's red-hot!! Who do we want to win? Spain or Portugal, that was the question. Of course, it's all over now. What a great game and of course the best team won. Just don't tell the neighbours I was cheering for Portugal..but having spent a year cheering for Benfica, old habits die hard.

Mind you, if you want my opinion, the Czecs will be hard to beat with Peter Czec guarding the old onion bag. They were my pre-tournament favourites until they played so badly yesterday. Significantly, though, they still won.

And as for England? They have the chance to do well but until they can score freely against eleven men I fear they will always be vulnerable to losing by a one goal margin because against a team such as, say Italy, you can't afford to score second. and one wouldn't be enough against a team that goes all out to score, especially with our defence. Each of our defenders is all right, but when have you ever seen an England performance where a defender doesn't slip up somewhere. Give me a German defence and a Portuguese midfield, a Czec goalkeeper and a French attack and I reckon you might have something.

Whether they could beat West Ham is another story!
