Dad, that doesn't sound right, that someone pulls out at this stage because you can't commit to a move date. I would definately get on to the solicitor by phone and have them sort it out. You've gone to all the trouble of selling up your stuff etc. If you are not concerned about loosing the opportunity presented in Kings Sutton, then you will need to let the solicitor know that you are not prepared to pursue the sale because your buyer has pulled out, but I think you need to get to the bottom of why she has pulled out. If you really want the Kings Sutton sale to go through, then let your solicitor know you can meet your purchasers demands if they are not totally unreasonable, and look for somewhere to stay temporarily. I'd rather have the money in the bank and then my options are still open.

I've put my Ivinghoe house on the market for 175K, hope to sell that before November.
