Is this the end of the line?
The removal man has been to give us an estimate, we have a great big skip in the front garden, ready to receive all our rubbish and things we cannot possibly use in Kings Sutton. Nobody wants to buy our out of date furniture or our white furniture. Fridges and freezers cannot be dumped in the Council tip, except privately in the back of our car. We are two old people, faced with a mountain of things to shift, although the removal man said don't bother to empty your drawers and don't bother about packing glasses, china etc as he will send his wife and daughter along to do all that. Does anybody want anything before we consign it to the skip. Ladders, tools, garden spades etc. Electric saws, drills, Books, Biographies, reference books, hard backs, wine glasses, plates, dinner sets. good stuff, wall plates. We have just heard that our buyer has signed her part of the contract - we are waiting to be called tosign our bit. It is now 720pm and the solicitor's office is shut until monday, so we will not know any more until then. One gets very impatient as time goes by with nothing apparently happening. These solicitors want to know such stupid things, which even I know are not necessary to know and I am only a simple simon. I have put an advert in the front of the garden about a garage sale at 10.30 tomorrow morning. I hope we sell something!! We have almost cleared the loft and I have given all my old suits to Charity Shops. If I ever need anything like that again, I will have to buy it. Seems unlikely. Reg says wshy throw it away if you can get a couple of quid for it. We will have to see if it is worth the bother. June has sent us a lot of super photos of the holiday. We did all have such a smashing time. Thanks to our lovely Steve, it all went super.
