..............................I've got for you Dad a Powerbook like Gemma's.
It's an Apple G3 Pismo which I have been updating, and with an Airport card fitted means you could do all your blogging from the sofa sat next to your missus (getting Mother more involved?) which will automatically load your pictures from the Canon Ixus v3 camera and from there up onto the blog. (The Canon does video too by the way hep hem!)
If you do decide to go with BT, there are options from them which come with a free wireless router which would make all of number 31 a wireless hotspot for you both. Blogging from the garden is very 'cool'.
From a security point of view, the emac and pismo could be great for backing each other up saving your valuable files so you have the same stuff on both)
