Well, wotdoyano, we are all back to normal, thanks to a very helpful solicitor and also to a super Christine, (our estate agent)
We are exchanging contracts today and completing on 31st. Thanks, Nic for your suggestion and in legal terms we have 'broken the chain', meaning that we are not relying on completing the Kings Sutton house, at the same time as completing here. We should now be able to sit on the sale proceeds and treat the purchase of Kings Sutton as a separate transaction.
Thanks to you all for your offer of support and a bed for the night. It looks, finally, as if it is 'all systems go'. Now back to the packing. Love from Dad
