So, good news about the move being on. Hope it continues less stressfully from now on! If you need a break and some chill out time in which to relax, remember you can always swannee on down to Alicante. You could probably live here for six months without damaging your buget - your pensions would be sufficient for you to eat out everyday and rent a small pad in the medium term.
We (the whole family) spent hours looking round Ikea in Murcia yesterday (what a super town that is...great Baroque cathedral and nice tapas and Valor drinking chocolate into the late hours) followed by more brico shops and iron bannister suppliers today, after which we took a late afternoon on Calpe beach and enjoyed some big swells (uncommon here), warm waters (very common here) and beautiful fine sand (also rather common) underneath the Penyon D'Ifache. No jellyfish - they have all gone back out to sea, and the sun was hot until it dropped below the big buildings sometime after six. We packed up then, having had a continuous 90 minutes in the waves, and headed to Mercadona to buy some fresh fish. I grilled some garlic laced Dorada on the barbie and we ate Spanish style (i.e. after nine o'clock) with a glass of really nice cheap plonk. Ah, roll on the summer. It's back to school for me next Friday but we are squeezing this holiday for all it is worth. We're off to visit the City of Arts and Sciences park in Valencia tomorrow. This is the first of a two day visit after Jess won a Christmas card design competition last December and bagged free entry tickets to the whole complex for her and a few extras, to be used by November 2006. We'll take the other day sometime next week.
Don't know if there is copyright on this photo so ill say thankyou Hotel Sidi Sali for providing this image!
