Last night we were the last in a 12 seater minibus which picked us up outside the house to attend a party at the Island Sailing Club in Cowes. What a fabulous place - entered down a narrow passageway through a gate saying Island Sailing Club - Members only, but we had booked the place for a banquet. We were amazed to see this lovely clubroom with mile wide windows looking out to sea and with much sailing activity on the water it was really great. We had a lovely evening, especially as I did not have to drive home. Eight tables of 8 with plenty of wine on the table and by the time of the thank you speeches, liberally mixed with really good funny stories we were all a bit Brahms and Lizst and the merry evening finished about midnight. Mum looked lovely and we had some very interesting companions to chat to. I wore me new dj and felt really good. It is now 10.20 and we have only been up for half an hour! I am enjoying a look round at all the new bloggers on the Somewhere in France blogger. Who are they - who is Katia and Auntie M. Lovely pictures of Chantilly!
We still communicate in the old fashioned way but although I am older than the Pope we can still shout. ~H&M
