Chelsea Fan

When my dad was alive there were no more ardant Chelsea fans than us - Dad me and Denis and we used to cycle from Wandsworth over the Chelsea, leave our bikes in a lady's house and get on to the terraces. We paid 6d to leave our bikes and 1/9d for a ticket We became good friends of the lady who looked after our bikes and in fact we bought pups from her dog (Bitch) and for years Susy was our dog at home The other went to a friend of ours a Mrs. Avis. This was in the late 40's after I came home frome the Far East. We knew all the team from 'Chopper'Harris, to Ken Armstrong and all the others whose names I have now forgotten. When we left London Denis kept up his support but as more and more foreign players were in the team I lost interest. Now there are only three English and the entry price is £20 only Lampard (Ex West Ham) Cole and Terry keep their place. Lampard is my favourite and what a shot he has. As long as Lampard plays for England he will stay as my fav. Well Done Gem
