Happy birthday Mum

Hope you have had a lovely day, Mum. I know you won't get this for a day or two...

We had a nice chat with Bob and Margaret the other night. Bob's still on chemo but he is fighting. He has been through the mill over the last year. He gets a review in six weeks after which the doctors decide whether to continue for a further 12 weeks on chemo or try something else. I guess they must think a positive outcome is achievable, which is good news. We will continue to pray for them both. Claire, their daughter, has just announced that she is pregnant for the second time so that will be their third grandchild, due in November, like the Prince and Princess of Spain.

Uncle Kev (Kev Laxton) has just emailed to say he is over next week for a few days of golf. We will see him on Thursday, all things being equal. Then, if we can afford the tickets, we'll be off to Valencia to see the opera and meet up with Ruth.

We are also planning on signing for the house at the end of next week. Nothing definite yet but we'll keep you informed.

Have a lovely remainder of the evening. 1929...that makes you, what....21 again!?
