Jen's youngest sister has had her first baby - a boy

Congratulations to Ming and Francis. The first born to be a boy is an added blessing (so they say) for Chinese (and Malaysian) - send him out to work early!! We have been out in the garden all day and did not pick up your phone message until 1820 ( twenty past six our time - twenty past one AM tomorrow your time) - hence we did not phone back. May day has been lovely here and as I said we have been out in the garden, trying to clear up many months of laziness - probably due to wet weather and the fact that we spent all October when we should have been in the garden, sunning ourselves in Provence. Talking of Provence, have you been following Julian's Postcards from Provence. Today's offering of a lovely red poppy can be seen on his http//shiftinglight.com/index.html I think he is doing some lovely work.
