Big Responsibility

Ruth, Claire will be so jealous of the kittens. We came home the other day from school and she insisted on having a pet. We talked about the fish that have expired, the rabbit that attacked her and the terrapins we threw into the pond at the golf club. She want to have a kitten though. I asked her who would look after it when we go to grandma's and then had to explain that the cat wouldn't be able to come. As it happens, we have a family of cats living in the drain in our road. I suggested to Claire that she fetch some milk and a saucer and she was quite amazed to sit and watch them feed. The two younger cats are yearlings and the mother stood watch, they are not tame at all. So now we sort of have pets that can look after themselves when we go and sit on the beach or come to England. We will feed them again over the weekend.

The smokey kitten you have looks gorgeous.
