Guccis, pair of Pradas and a packet of Paracetamol :)

Hope you're feeling better Margaret.....and that the pain and swelling has gone down. Sounds like a weekend that you'd rather forget!

Thanks Steve for the link to the other B&B in Kingston Blount....looks wonderful but the first paragraph last line states "Adult orientated because of restful nature of our accommodation, so no children under 10"!!! ....which is pretty much what we're find stated in most, thankfully not all, of the B & Bs around Oxford. They're quite child-friendly aren't they :) NOT TO WORRY....I shall prevail, one has several places in mind though one might have to settle for the Pradas and LVs instead of the Guccis :)

Life's pretty hectic at the moment.....I've just had a paper rejected by the American Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology.....(*scream* *rant* *rave* *curse*) so I'm having to settle for a lower Impact Factor journal. Anyway, apart from that, Claire and I have just realised that she has English and Mandarin spelling tests every week! horrors....we've been trying out various studying methods....Nic contributes as well even though he informs me that he couldn't read or write till he was 8! Daniel's learning how to jump.......he's a right tearaway and can't stop touching everything!

As Nic mentioned, we'll hope to book our tickets at least by the end of this month and to finalise our itinerary soon. My mum and dad will be going to Wales in August for a conference. Grandmother Peck is staying with them for a while, she was in hospital for a couple of weeks due to her L2-5 vertebrae compressing upon themselves...osteoporosis related. She's pretty much immobile and her mind's not so sharp anymore. We just do our best to make her comfortable, talk to her (shout rather as she's quite deaf) and just be around. The kids go over quite often, I think she likes seeing all the great grandchildren around.

Ok....the rain's stop, the sun shineth and I must go and resubmit my paper to ....the International Journal of Obstetrics and Gynaecology! Fingers crossed!
