New forest laugh

Hey, I might have only been seven but I remember the laughing policeman. In fact, I even have a copy. How sad is that? I remember parachuting from the back of the zephyr and the old ridge pole tent that must have been made by Skoda judging from the way the colour faded.

But now, thirty four years on I am wondering, was it just me that went to bed at half past nine? I remember going back to the tent in the dark because we didn't have a torch, and having to borrow the tilley lamp from the Smiths the next night. Did you lot all go back and return the lamp then and leave me to sleep alone? I thought we all went to bed at the same time in those days!

Well, two sheds, how do you fancy a trip to Bulgaria in the lorry? I've been looking at houses on the net for four and a half thousand Euros! Two sheds? For the price of a garden shed you could have two houses!

Ruth, we are off horse-riding from 19th July for a week and after that we are keen for France. I may be starting a TESOL course in early August so we'd only have a few days. How does that window work for you? As for the Opera we'd still love any of them...it'll probably be just me and Jan for a matinée; Debussy sounds great but for true opera you can't beat the Puccini...unless you are a Mozart fan. Let's go for the Puccini.

Well done Nick on the Greeks. I thought 'our' Portuguese team might pull it off. It's the first time I've ever seen a footy tournament through and not be able to name a single player from the winning side, even after watching the final. Perhaps Macedonia isn't for me, how ever many houses you can get for a quid!
