Message for Pete

I am sending you the provisional layout of our bungalow. As you will see, we could not face throwing away our lovely G-plan table, chairs and matching sideboard, so the room scheduled for a second bedroom has been re-allocated as a dining room, which we use for all eating (except TV teatime). This is the room which Cathy and Steve floored for us with the 'new' flooring of laminated 'wood' - beech effect, which looks and feels lovely. In time I will get round to adding a mantelpiece of the wood which I saved from your old pine bed ( I could not throw away such heaven sent wood) and I will provide a bookcase to hold all the books I was persuaded to bring along. I have been down to the DIY store and bought some suitable shelving. All I want is some good weather and the inclination to get off my butt. You will see from previous blogs that we are getting out and about. It is nice to have a reserve so that we can eat out when we want to. There is something to be said for downsizing our accommodation. We both hope you have all benefitted from the girls' TV rehearsals. Should be fun to see, if ITV is still going in February. Don't forget Claire's birthday on 27th. A birthday blog would suit fine.
