What exciting lives we lead

What with our grandchildren rehearsing for an 'On the Box" and our eldest son doing a bit of roof jumping (Whose Roof) life is looking very dangerous.
No only, but also - our bed came yesterday. The man rang up to say he was on his way and half an hour later he had been - and gone. Never seen anyone handle such a large mattress so easily.
We started unpacking the yards and yards of plastic, and we soon were down to the last piece which contains the directions - typical! Two large halves of the base, which we tried unsucessfully to join, (so we have tied them together with string) and a beautiful headboard which we are afraid of touching and a lovely comfortable bed to sleep on- Quite a change from our two nights on the futon. We now have to dispose of the two old mattresses and the pine bed, which the Council will collect (for a fee). Thanks to Steve we have a lovely carpeted bedroom and a bed to be proud of. Our next magnum opus is to re-furnish our no 2 bedroom/dining room, so back to work boys. Hope you are enjoying the warm sunshine of Calabria, Ju. We hear that the mistral is blowing well in Provence. Trick or treat in Wales. Thank goodness, none here. Dad
