The past couple of weeks have been amazing as, not only have we been contacted by old friends, but we have made some new ones. Last Sunday we had lunch wih Josie and Graham in their house in Eynsham, then midweek we had lovely photos and a welcome card from baby sitters of old. On Monday I went to the Banbury Catenians and met new friends there, especially Nick Frazer, who lives opposite the school in the village and who took me in his Ford MPV to Banbury to meet a host of other new friends - Catenians all. A very lovely evening with more food than I could manage and an inclusive wine dinner, which did not help my night cramps. Yesterday we tried out the journey from here to Bicester, in order to dump some stuff at the Council dump in Ardley and then had lunch in Bicester with a look round to see where the local Bicester Operatic Society were putting on Carousel in the Leisure Centre. Last night we went to the show, with old friends from the Chinnor Op. now renamed the Chinnor Musical Theatre, in Bicester. This was our third visit Kings Sutton - Bicester in the day and, of course we had to return for the fourth, after the show. To Pete and Jan - we met Chris Wright who was co-producing the show and played the part of Nettie Fowler. Her voice is as good and strong as ever. We also met Pam Lafferty, whose daughter Chloe is about to make her a grandma, Brenda Goffin, who has no intention of leaving Thame, despite now being a widow, Judy Thomson, who still runs a very busy piano school. (Ben is a school teacher and George drives a crane - I thought she said 'train') Adrien is still busy singing but he is worried over his weight gain, as he has over active thyroid troubles. Also we met the Daniels, Barbara and Brian who have put aside stage work and now sing in a choral Society in Aylesbury. They all send their love to you guys in Spain. Incidentialy, it only took us 30 minutes to get home last night on the B4100, Love from Dad and Mum. Incidentally, Pete we loved the B&W photos uf the Junior Welsh contingent.
Again, but not so incidentally, Cathy has just rung us to say she is on the way and will be here later. Lovely
