don't you mean the church is ONLY the building, Julian? (Hi Julian)great quote though. i also recommend 'the artist's way' by julia cameron which i tried to find for you pete in crillon but couldn't but will have another go on my return. it's very spiritually based and also a great key to liberating all that creative energy you have (one has) boiling beneath the respectable surface. i recommend it to anyone struggling on that score, or even not struggling.
anyway thinking lots about you guys and your visit, food for thought and for tummies too. the best kind.
hello anyway from ruth in valence where i daren't mention who i'm playing with for fear of being visible, but i wish you could all see it. the marionettes are made by world renowned emilie valentin who has also made marionettes in ICE for avignon festival and whose next will be in porcelain. the music is delicious and our lady conductor/ pianoforte player a big beating breathing heart who generates pots of love and joy and inspiration. it is a huge sigh of relief for me after the ozzie beachbum we had in glyndebourne this year, and small theatres with cosy bars are much more my thing really.
i have just been told i am not allowed to do mail or blogging in the mediatheque where i have been hangin out so i will have to close. anyway love to all.
