Julian, we've borrowed a car and will look to come up slowly on the 27th, arriving 28th or 29th I guess. I may go via Madrid to see the exhibition at the Prado if it won't make you green with envy (assuming its open between the fiestas). We won't stay past the 2nd...just a few days but the break will be very pleasant so we're already looking forward to it. I'll keep you informed of any changes we make to this skeleton itinerary.
