xmas greets

hello everyone. ruth here. it's christmas morning and i have a hangover already! yesterday it was a deliciously springy 13 degrees and i went a-kindling and a-berry hunting for our peasant table decorations! the neighbours stopped by for an impromptu bit of fizz and we exchanged woildly wrapped bottles. then nadine passed a huge bloc of her home made foie gras out of the window, which prompted us to start our feast, followed by oysters, coquilles st jacques, and seabass. then we had a bright and pissed moonlit walk with the kitties with the snow gleaming atop the ventoux. everything set and ready for our huge christmas day walk, but today it is very grey, cold and windy!! so it's probably a cuddle kitties, watch dvd's and small walk before more foie gras day. there is radio 4 on broad band so i even managed to listen to kings carol service. julian managed a little bit of diy so now the washing up machine is mended and we have a new tap and a phone socket in the kitchen. so ready-ish -and
looking forward to having you pete et al and do call before you leave to discuss bedding! do you have games?????? we are sorely missing them here - boggle scrabble, monopoly, cranium whatever. and yes of course we love rioja, who doesn't!
julian has given me a very exciting self porrtrait (unfinished...) for my prez which looks down and watches over us as we stuff our faces!thank you hugh and margaret so much for your very thoughtful presents which we are about to enjoy. lots of love from us four, four legged and two legges creatures. r,j,m, o xxxxx
