Hello ho ho ho hum!

Merry Run-Up to Christmas everyone.. it's Steve here.

That last posting was an email Gem sent me from work this morning and I'm pleased we're all sussed and aware of this sort of scam.
BT offer a blocking service for computer generated calls but they do charge for it!

Well now..
Unfortunately the Bullring didn't happen because on Tuesday when we were booked to go, the lady at the baker's said her delivery of flour was 3 hours late from Witney because of an accident on the A34!
And as it happened once we'd clicked on the news, there were Jags all over the carriageway between Botley and Peartree. A car transporter and a lorry collided at 4.30 am and the road was closed for a long time, so..!
We thought about leaving it for an hour but decided that it was time for plan B.

Once that area is gridlocked, it's obviously going to be a night mare heading west so the backup plan was BlueWater..

in Kent!

With a huge Marks and Spencer, a massive John Lewis with excellent ladies clothes, a House of Fraser and lots of trendy shops and bars in between, (plus being a tidy 90 minutes away at least) pretty much guaranteed we'd find something for Gemma and not be tempted to return frustrated and empty handed. O lor!

There's free parking next to he shops so you can nip back to the car with stuff and there's a plethora of snackeries and tea-and-bunneries too.
And Antonio Carluccio,
And a Jaeger!

The day went very well and after a few hours we had a shortlist and the result you'll have to wait and see! ahaha!

Meanwhile in Essex,Val and Steve Ltd have had their offer accepted on a little maison to do-up and flog on so all systems will soon be go.

Any diy tools and stuff like that going bukshee gratefully received... duly wrapped of course!
love to all Steve
