Solution to the wordperfect thing is to 'save~as' all the wordperfect text files as 'ascii dos text' while in WordPerfect.. on the pc.. in their own folder.. on the C drive (called ascii texts), burn the folder complete with contents onto cd with Nero. Put cd into emac and save whole lot on the desktop as a text file folder(ascii texts)..open up the maclink file converter and drag in each text file. Press the translate button select Appleworks6 and OSX prompts for a new destination folder for each one. When that's done open Appleworks and click file and open and select a file to work on..phew . there had to be a way! Here's what we've been waiting for!
