Steve, lets have a budget to work with for the adults PD120 per adult enough to cover the food and drink??. Perhaps you can suggest or we can all agree to that first. From there we select from a choice of menus complimented by wine, port, etc. In other words we lump it all together together and spend it as a lump sum. We use the money to buy flowers, perhaps a momento of some sort, party stuff for the kids, perhaps hire a gester or a clown, feed the kids, and the rest goes on the adults food and drink. I also don't mind chipping in separately for the kids too if that's more agreable with everyone,
Regarding the food, my kids will eat either chicken nuggets, fish fingers or sausages with Fries Anglais, or perhaps a better choice is spaghetti with meat sauce. Can do that with truffles right?
If i'm bringing Jen half way across the world for lunch at a french restaurant, she will probably insist on Goose liver, pan fried. She loves steak too. I also think some sort of a roast beef thing might go done really well with everyone. For me i'd love to have scallops or possibly oysters, a nice coarse homemade pate with a hint of alchohol, maybe a consome, then beef as a main course, I also like asparagus. Having said all that, I'm only really coming for the desserts, chocolate souffle of sorts, or one of mums lovely Pavlovas.
Hope that helps
Dad, you can give steve a cheque from me for PD250 to get the ball rolling.
Nic
