Jen took her driving test today and passed, 36 lessons and 5 months, not bad for Singapore.

We had some other good news as we have received our tax bill for this year, you will be really pleased (don't forget that VAT here is only 5% too) to learn that our joint tax bill (IRAS) for 2004 will be about 800 pounds for the year. Now I remember why we don't live in Europe. Hah hah, The view from the bathroom looks really great today.

Thanks Dad for the compliments on our bathroom, actually in practice the island sink works really well as we can all use the bathroom (me , Jen and Claire) at the same time. I am also glad that we never installed a shower enclosure although we do have to squeegy the floor most times. Means we can all be showering more or less at the same time, not bad for a room 6' x 6' with doors on two opposite walls.

Julian, remember the balinese type bathroom, all happens without a roof!, can bring that idea to your home.
