How lovely to switch on and get news fom all our family. Who is the beauty in the poppy field? Sad to read the news about saving the genome, Steve. We'll have to save ours.
If anyone is expecting an e-mail answer from me - forget it. I am completel baffled by mac e-mails. My PC was so simple. When it says klik and I klik, nothing happens. Sorry, Gem, not to acknowledge your Yahoo greetings. I kliked and nothing happened - I tried to reply to your e-mail gems_merrowsmith@yahoo.co.uk and I get a Maeler-Damon (see Dad) i.e a non delivered e-mail. Jess - what a lovely letter. We will look forward to one from Beth, one day. Congratulations on your elevation to the Guides. Enjoy your life. My grandma once said to my Dad when he joined the scouts. They have got you into uniform now, son. You will be in uniform all your life - and he was!!
Yes carrefour means crossroads in French, I think. Good morning in Spanish!! Pete - keep trying on the squeeze box - we'll be expecting a virtuoso performance on the 13th. Someone has to amuse the children. Oh no we won't! Hope Jan is recovering from her hay-fever. Don't come here for the time being as the sky is full of tree pollen.
We went to the hospital, yesterday - the urologist said he did what was necessary, but as there is a small diverticulum inside the bladder (a small bubble of wee that doesn't clear), she will have to jump up and down or have it shrunk. Mum says not now - I'll jump!. Otherwise things are as well as can be for an oldun.
We had a lovely day on Ventnor Down yesterday - took a picnic and went for a long walk. Afterwards went down to the lovely Botanic Gardens and bought some plants with some of Nic's birthday money. Still a bit left so Mum is going down to our local Garden Centre. Wootton is expecting a Royal Visit soon - they have been tidying up the tidy car park opposite as Prince Philip is going fro a ride on the train!
The R.F are staying in Osborne House. Bye for now. Dad and Mum
